Join us at The Junction on 25 April 2025, where we’ll be up against six other bands, performing our hearts out to win over the judges! The other bands in the final are awesome, so you’re guaranteed a night of great music.

Hank’s for the memories…
On 29 March 2025, we were honoured to be the last band ever to play at Hank’s Cambridge, before it closed its doors for the final time. Together with a packed lineup of local bands, handpicked by the Hank’s team, Hank’s Last Hoorah was an epic sendoff for an awesome team in a venue that will be sorely missed. More than £400 was raised for the Music Venue Trust! Massive thanks to all the other bands and to Mike, Zero, Sienna, Zac and the rest of the Hank’s team.
It’s such a shame that it took the place closing down to draw that kind of a crowd. We’re all gonna keep doing what we do – bringing live original music to music venues around Cambridge, but we need YOU, the crowd, the paying public, to come along and join in the fun! Otherwise more and more venues will close – with Music Venue Trust estimating that at least one grassroots music venue is closing every week!
The issues with the UK music scene are deep-rooted these days, but by supporting independent venues and DIY bands, you can help to change that. So get up, get out and raise your voices!

COME TO OUR FIRST LONDON SHOW!
We are playing our first ever London Show at The Spice of Life in Soho on 22 March 2025 and we need as much support as we can get. We’re delighted to have been picked up by HOTVOX for this multi band line-up and obviously want to make a good impression and sell as many tickets as possible, so please come along and bring your mates!
Let’s have a party!
Our NEW Christmas Song
On 30 November we all got together at Boss Weasel’s house to record the new Christmas song he wrote: Make Our Love Complete (This Christmas Time). It took us the whole day to record the tracks, and most of the following day for B’Neil to put together a mix we liked, but we got it done just in time for it’s first play on the Stagger Show on Cambridge 105.
We were also lucky enough to persuade Tim Willett of Cambridge 105’s New Music Generator to give it a spin on his show on 4 December too.
The track is being distributed to all the usual streaming services, and we’ll be playing it live at Hank’s Cambridge, on 14 December 2024, so do come along and join in the festivities!

GIG DATES FOR YOUR DIARY
We started ‘The Weasels Nest‘ this year to help promote local bands and help newcomers to the scene get in front of people. We’ve got some AWESOME SHOWS coming up at the end of 2024 and into 2025, starting with the ‘Bin Weasel Christmas Show‘ on 14 December 2024, where we will be performing our new Christmas single Make Our Love Complete (This Christmas Time).

STRAWBERRY FAIR 2024
What a privilege to get to play on the Cambridge 105 Radio stage at Strawberry Fair 2024!
Sadly the weather wasn’t as nice as everyone had been hoping for, which meant that a lot of people made the decision to spend their time in the massive Portland Arms tent (very sensibly keeping warm) instead of exploring the other stages, but we still had a lively crowd, who really gave us a boost, as you can hear from the official recording (just click play on the Mixcloud Player). Three of us had our families in the audience, which was lovely, and to hear everyone singing along never gets old.
We even managed to salvage a few of the live tracks for our Soundcloud page, which is super useful (checkout the live recording of ‘Carnival’ below).
Now that we’ve had the last of the Cambridge Band Competition perks we’re itching to add more shows to the calendar, so we can come entertain you beautiful people. If you can help us out, do get in touch!
Carnival (live)
LIVE ON THE STAGGER SHOW!
The day after the Band Competition we’d been invited onto the Stagger show on Cambridge 105 Radio by hosts Tom Taylor and David Cunnington, to talk about our musical influences and play some live tracks.
We had a ball talking to the guys, but the best part was definitely trying to work out how on earth to set up our equipment so that we could have the guitars amped up with a live drum kit in a tiny studio.
In the end D’Neil had to drum in the room next door whilst Martin, Tom and B’Neil crammed around the studio desk with our amps stacked in a tower against one wall! Somehow it didn’t sound half bad, as you will hopefully here from the recording (just click play on the Mixcloud player).
A big thank you to Tom and David for having us on the show and singing along to ‘Line ‘Em Up’ so beautifully.
CAMBRIDGE BAND COMPETITION 2024 – THE FINAL
We had an INCREDIBLE time playing in the headline slot of the Cambridge Band Competition. It was an absolute dream come true for us to play at such a prestigious venue and share our music with so many people.
No, we didn’t win the competition (that went to the excellent Flying Symbols, who frankly delivered a masterclass in crowd work and musicianship), but the warmth and support we got from everyone there was unbelievable. You can’t buy memories like that.
Enormous thanks go to to the event organizers, the judges and the Junction staff for making us feel so welcome, but most of all too everyone who came along and raised their voices with us.
Looking out over a sea of people dancing and singing along to our music is what this is all about, so thank you, thank you, THANK YOU!
We’ll see you all soon.

CAMBRIDGE BAND COMPETITION 2024 – HEAT 5
We won Heat 5 of the Cambridge Band Competition 2024!!!
Can’t believe our first ever proper gig was at The Portland Arms! It’s been 20 years since Martin last played there with his old band, and very poignant that the “tiny stage” in our song ‘Raise Your Voices’ is literally about The Portland stage.
We can’t express enough thanks to the people that came along to watch all the bands play, and who raised their voices with us. Thanks of course to the judges too, for having such exquisite taste in music (hehe!).
What this means is that not only are we going to get to play at the 50th Anniversary of Strawberry Fair on 1 June 2024, but we are also going to be playing the headline slot at The Junction, Cambridge. We’re all in shock, but most of all we’re so, so chuffed to be able to play our music to you again in the near future at such prestigious events.
Big love to the weasel massive for all your faith and support. If you keep coming, we’ll keep playing.
Martin, Tom, Neil and Neil x
