THE STORY SO FAR…

Bin Weasel is a four-piece alternative rock/melodic punk band from Cambridge, UK.  The band was founded by singer/guitarist Martin Brammah  in 2022, after he got sick of the creative musical desert in his life brought about by the COVID 19 lockdown.

Bassist Neil MacMullen (a.k.a. B’Neil), an old friend of Martin’s, was first to join the band.  After many years of talking about music and sharing their experiences of playing in various bands, Martin and Neil began meeting to thrash out song ideas, including early arrangements of the classic weasel tune ‘Repeat Repeat’.  B’Neil came up with the name Bin Weasel, after toying with the idea of reworking celebrity names.  Vin Diesel became Bin Weasel (someone should tell him!).

Rhythm guitarist and backing vocalist Tom Anghileri was next to join the band.  Tom and Martin had played together many times in local covers band The Juliets and always had a blast.  It was clear that Tom was the right man for the job: a self-confessed “musical whore” with incredible on-stage energy and a willingness to (literally) bleed for his art.

Drummer Neil Hamilton-Meikle (a.k.a. D’Neil) joined the group via Facebook, winning the other three over with his charm, enthusiasm and rock solid beats.

Bin Weasel were finalists of the Cambridge Band Competition 2024, which led to them playing Cambridge’s Strawberry Fair festival. The band won the ‘Audience Vote’ in Cambridge Band Competition 2025. The weasels have played shows all over East Anglia and London and their music is regularly played on Cambridge Radio and Radio Wigwam. They released their first studio recording, Line ‘Em Up!, in March 2025.
